Eva Marcille: I Don't Understand How I Got Called Shady

Eva Marcille sets the record straight about that "shady" peach moment with Shamari DeVoe and reveals one of the hardest parts of her wedding planning process.

Bravotv.com: How close are you with your mom?

Eva Marcille: I adore my mother — she’s my best friend! Growing up with a house full of boys, my mom and I have always been close. My mom is my confidant and my rock! I want nothing more in life than to make her proud.

Bravotv.com: Why did you start crying during lunch with your mom?

EM: Planning a wedding can really get overwhelming. There are a million decisions to make and it becomes difficult after a while. Since I'm having my mom/best friend helping me, hearing her opinions that don’t always mirror mine gets hard. I was just overwhelmed and felt like out of all the people in the world, this is the last person I want to argue with, and it brought me to tears. I’m a really sensitive girl, and I always have been.

Bravotv.com: Were you trying to be shady when you passed Shamari the peach for the makeover question?

EM: I passed Shamari the peach because I didn’t want to answer the question. NeNe passed it to Porsha, Porsha passed it to me, and I passed it to Shamari...how I get called shady, I don’t understand. I couldn't honestly care less about what any of these girls are wearing. I wear the clothes that I like and that I’m comfortable in, and I assume the other ladies do the same, so who are we to judge each other? It feels pretty shallow to me.
