Tamra Judge Shares Her Exact Daily Diet — and Why it Works Better for Her Than Keto

The Real Housewives of Orange County fitness buff Tamra Judge said, "I don't get that hungry."

Tamra Judge has been known to experiment with various diets to maintain top fitness levels — but soon after The Real Housewives of Orange County pal joined the flood of celebrities on Keto, she gave it up. Tamra recently revealed to The Feast that the Keto diet actually made her "sick" with the "Keto flu" (a real set of symptoms Katie Couric also experienced).

Indeed, Tamra's experience led her to have serious "concerns" over the Keto diet — not unlike the many health professionals who cite dangers... as well as Andy Cohen, who called the Keto diet "dumb."

But beyond Tamra's concerns over the diet's impact on health, Tamra told The Feast that Keto just simply wasn't a match for her natural eating habits and innate preferences.

"Me, I don’t love to eat — I’m not an eater. My problem is eating enough," Tamra told us. "I just don’t think about eating. I don’t really get that hungry. So, for me to keep muscle tone I have to eat a lot of proteins."
For Tamra, that means translating those natural tendencies into a healthy diet by making the choice to "stay away from the carbs and the sugar — even a lot of fruit. I do some berries, but a lot of the fruit I don’t touch. And I just eat high protein, vegetables, and good fats — a lot of egg whites and brown turkey and chicken breasts and things like that."

She contrasts that diet with other people's misguided approach to Keto. Tamra described Keto as being "like a fat girl’s dream." Channeling people with rich cravings who find themselves overindulging on the diet (whose rules seems to embrace those temptations), she said, "Oh, I can eat butter, and I can eat cheese?"

Not that Tamra is a stranger to indulgences herself, she might add. We asked her about her favorite indulgences and she told us, "Anything that has bread on it — cinnamon rolls, pizza, anything doughy, I’m all over!"
